A Library Card For Everyone
Every youth in our program deserves access to one of the most powerful free resources in our community.
Max proudly showed off his very first Spokane Public Library card recently. In his hands was something small and full of possibility: a card that opens the door to thousands of books, programs, and opportunities, all at no cost. That moment is exactly why we have set a goal for every youth in our program to have one before the end of spring.
Literacy is far more than an academic skill. Research shows it is deeply connected to self-esteem, emotional intelligence, resilience, and mental health. The young people we serve often enter school already behind their peers, and without consistent, caring support, that gap can grow. Reading is one of the most powerful ways we can help change that.
We are grateful for Spokane Public Library and everything it offers our community. Books, programs, and a welcoming place to learn. We want every youth and family in our program to know those doors are open to them. Follow along as we celebrate each milestone this spring
