Cultural Advisor

Lacey Bacon-Abrahamson (Why-ya-padon, Butterfly) is a Cultural Artist from the Shoshone Bannock Tribes of Fort Hall, Idaho, and also represents her paternal tribes, the Colville, Coeur d’Alene, and Spokane Tribes.

Lacey holds an associate degree from Salish Kootenai College and a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in Native American Studies from the University of Montana. Her cultural knowledge has been passed down through generations by her grandmothers, shaping her approach to education, mentorship, and community care. She shares this knowledge through cultural arts instruction and educational presentations that center identity, connection, and healing.

As the founder of Newe Style Consulting, Lacey has provided cultural consultation for schools, media, and community organizations, including work with Spokane Public Schools and national productions. She brings deep experience supporting culturally grounded programming and helping organizations engage Indigenous youth and families with respect, accuracy, and care.

Lacey’s work is rooted in the belief that learning and honoring Indigenous ways strengthens identity, builds resilience, and supports long-term wellbeing for youth and families.
