Staff: Dr. Lori Hunt

Dr. Lori Hunt is excited to join Friends of the Children – Eastern Washington and help expand its mission of creating lasting change for children and families across the region. A lifelong educator and community leader, Lori brings more than two decades of experience in education, including leadership roles in Washington’s community college system focused on student success, strategic planning, partnerships, and creating greater opportunities for students and communities.

A first-generation college graduate and proud Eastern Washington native, Lori earned her doctorate and master's degrees in Educational Leadership from Washington State University and a bachelor's degree from Gonzaga University. She is passionate about building strong community partnerships and ensuring that every young person has the relationships, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive. Outside of work, Lori enjoys spending time with her family and being involved in her community.
