Anne Abbott is the Beloved Community and Restorative Practices Manager at Spokane Public Schools. She holds degrees in Law and Human Services, and is completing a master’s in business leadership (MBL).
Originally from Hawaii, Anne went to college in Southern California and then lived in Central Oregon and Western Washington. After an early career in corporate finance, she started a consulting business in 2013, specializing in creative growth strategy and business development. She continues to consult for visionaries in non-profit, start-up, private-sector, and corporate spaces.
Nearly a decade ago, Anne moved to Spokane to take up her "heart-work" — advocacy. She began that work in the practice of family law, later parlaying her expertise into social work — partnering with the City of Spokane to launch and manage a family homeless shelter (pre/post Covid). For the past three years, Anne has served as an Engagement and Outreach Specialist within Spokane Public Schools. In her new role as Beloved Community and Restorative Practices Manager, Anne supports the students, families, and communities of Northeast Spokane.
Anne is passionate about hope and redemption. She specializes in building partnerships across industries and agencies and connecting people — all with the goal of offering hope and help, bridging pathways to possibilities that ultimately lead to journeys of restoration and redemption and stories of celebration and belonging.
Anne's highest goal as a human working with humans, and her aspiration as a leader is to be a "dealer in hope."
